From reviewing my survey results I can infer that more students like the current style pizza and the spicy chicken sandwiches that are served a lunch. From seeing this, I can see that I should include pizza and the spicy chicken sandwich to my menu.
-Do you prefer fruits or vegetables?
After Reviewing the results I discovered that most students like fruits more than vegetables. Although, most people think that fruits taste better, vegetables should be a bigger part of your diet.
-What is your least favorite thing for lunch?
From looking at the answers I can tell that students have different opinions about what tastes bad to them. When I’m making my menu I will probably try to replace those items that were frowned upon with either a better tasting product or something similar.
-Is there any food that seems gross or not right?
Most people answered that the milk was gross. To fix this I might reduce the amount of milk we have in the cafeteria and bring in more water or more natural fruit juices. Another large amount of the students said that they didn’t recognize anything that was gross. I think that for those people I might not make too many changes. And finally, a small amount of contributors said that they didn’t like random things like some of the new Envy drinks. I might just replace those with a different and more appetizing & basic flavors.
-If you could recommend another food item/dish what would it be?
From the results it’s obvious that students want some kind of pasta. Some said pesto pasta, some said lasagna and some just want spaghetti.
This shows that students feel that there is a lack of pasta (which is a good protein, when it’s a whole grain pasta). Others said they would like a taco day, or at least tacos incorporated into a day of the lunch schedule.
-How many unhealthy foods do you buy everyday at lunch?
Most students were reasonably buying unhealthy foods (they ranged from zero to three) and others were buying outrageous amounts (four to seven). I believe that we should cut down on the amount of unhealthy foods students should be allowed to buy (The next question asks students about how many unhealthy foods they should be able to buy)
-How many unhealthy foods do you think you should buy?
Most students were reasonable and answered none to three. But others responded with outrageous numbers like five to no limit. I personally believe that we should have a limit to one or two. This plan makes it
-What food items do you throw out? Most people answered that they don’t waste any food, which is good because it saves the school money and it isn’t going to waste.
But others responded random food /drink items such as the milk and the seasoned potatoes, with those answers I will probably add another food or drink choice for those people that don’t like it.
